After breakfast visit Anuradhapura .it was the first capital and the undoubtedly
the grandest city of the ancient Ceylon. It is the home of two world heritage sites
many places of historical and archeological interest can be visited. Sri Maha bodhi
(Sacred Bo Tree) was brought as a sapling of the tree under which Prince Siddartha
attend enlightenment and it is over 2200 years old. And it is the oldest historically
documented tree in the world. The Brazen palace (2nd century B C) the 1600 stone
columns you see are magnificent multi stoned residence for monks. Ruwanweliseya
(2nd century BC) is the most famous of all the dagobas. It originally depicted the
perfect bubble shape. That modern restoration has not seen able to accurately reproduce
“Samadhi” Buddha statue (the 4th century AD) is one of the most famous statues.
Depicting the Buddha in a state of “Samadhi” or deep meditation. Isurumuniya rock
temple (the 3rd century BC) is well known for its rock carvings.

After breakfast transfer to Trincomalee and enjoy city tour of Trincomalee.
Visit Koneswaram temple of Trincomalee is a hindu temple in Trincomalee. Eastern
province, Srilanka venerated by Saivites throughout the continent it is built atop
Swami Rock, a rocky promontory cape overlooking Trincomalee, a classical period
harbour port town. The primary deity is the Hindu God Lord Shiva in the form Konesar
At its zenith, the konesar temple was the main shrine of the Trincomalee Koneshwaram
Temple compounds. One of three ancient connected Hindu temples on Swami Rock with
a considerably sized Gopuram. This temple stood distinctly in the middle of the
cape, at its highest eminence. The other two connected temple shrines of the Koneswaram
complex, to deities Ganesh, Vishnu (Thirumal), Ambal-Shakti and Murukan stretched
across the cape to its extremities. The complex has laid in ruins, been restored,
renovated and enlarged by various royals and devotees throughout its history. Heralded
as one of the richest and most visited temple compounds in Asia, Koneswaram became
one of the most important surviving and influential structures of the classical
Dravidian architectural period by the early 17th century.

After breakfast proceed to Habarana en –route visit Polonnaruwa which was the
2nd capital of Sri lanka. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD.and which is world
heritage site. Here you can see the ruins of the royal palace, the gal Viharaya
where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in upright sedentary and Recumbent postures
carved out of rock, could be seen the audience hall, the lotus Bath, the statue
of King Parakramabahu and the Parakrama Samudraya.a Lake built by King Parakramabahu
the great. There are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva
temple the Lankathilake,
The Watadage, the Galpotha, the Kiriwehera, and the remains of the former temple of the Tooth Relic.

After Lunch do a safari of the Minneriya national park by jeep. The extend of the
minneriya national park is about 8,889 hectares there are wet-land in this national
park. Which have international importance .animal and plant species. Which are plenty
in dry zone can be found in this park. Wild elephants various amphibians local and
immigrant bird species are plenty in this park. About 160 species of birds 09 amphibians
25 reptile species .26 fish species and more than 78 butterfly species have been
found in this area. There are bamboo trees which are rare in other parks and wild
elephants can be seen conveniently .the significant feature is that these elephants
can be going closer to them.

Day 7 - Habarana / Sigiriya / Habarana

After breakfast visit Sigiriya. Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which
is a world heritage site. Built by the King Kashyapa (477-495 AD) The Lion rock
is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle .The rock
was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town a mort rampart and
extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock.
Visit the world renowned frescoes of the “Heavenly Maidens “of Sigiriya which are
in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway these frescoes
are painted in earth pigments on plaster.

Day 8 - Habarana /Dambulla / Kandy

After breakfast proceed to Kandy en-route visit Dambulla Rock Temple. Dambulla rock
temple was built by king Walagambahu in the 1st century BC. And it is world heritage
site .it is the most impressive Sri lanka cave temple.the complex of the cave over
2000 sq meters of painted walls and 7 ceilings is the largest area of paintings
found in the world. it contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest
is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spaning14 Meters .

Day 9 - Kandy / City Tour / Kandy

After breakfast visit Kandy city. Kandy was the last capital of Sri Lankan kings
and it is a world heritage site .the name “kandy” conjures vision of splendour and
magnificence.
Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last king Sriwickrama Rajasingha in1798.visit Kandy town and
bazaar also visit Temple of the tooth relic in Kandy. Evening visit Peradeniya Botanical
garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Singhala king and was expanded
by the British it is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees
plants and flowers.

Day 10 - Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya En-Route visit a tea plantation and a tea
factory where the best tea in the world is produced Here you could observe all about
the process of manufacturing tea. You can also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup
of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. In the evening visit Nuwara Eliya City because
of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery is Srilankas most popular hill
resort Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lankas tea country producing a significant
share of the world best tea.Sri Lankas highest mountain Piduruthalagala (8281 feet)
is located here. Nuwara Eliya also has one of the 18 hole golf courses in South
Asia.
After Breakfast transfer to Tissamaharamaya En-Route visit Seetha Amman Hindu Temple,
vist Rawana water falls.

Afternoon go to do the Safari Yala National Park by a Jeep.Yala is the largest
National park in Sri Lanka.which is the home for wild elephants,Wild boars ,wild
buffalos ,leopards, bears, deer’s , and crocodiles large flocks and migratory and
indigenous birds are also found.

Day 12 - Tissamaharamaya / Galle

After breakfast transfer to Galle. Visit Galle city Galle was the chief port of
Ceylon.
Galle fort (spanning 90 Acres) which was originally built by the Portuguese and later extended by the Dutch
in1663. This is a world heritage site.
After breakfast transfer to Colombo. And enjoy a city tour in Colombo. Just like
many capital cities in developing countries Colombo is changing fast almost overnight.
There is 100 year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings.
Other places of interest are the pettah bazaar .Hindu and Buddhist temple, the bandaranayake
Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) and Independent Square.
